NEW STUDY: 31% of adults choose text messaging

Posted by Trumpia on Sep 19, 2011

Consumers LIKE receiving text messages – according to a recent report by Pew Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project and posted by Mashable, which is why Trumpia places SMS and mobile marketing at the heart of its All-in-One Messaging Solution.

According to the study, 31% of adults choose texting as their preferred mode of communication, while 55% of frequent texters place texting above voice when it comes to how they want to be contacted.

For Business-To-Consumer marketers it now becomes critical to incorporate SMS and MMS into their marketing mix and consider implementing mobile calls-to-action when planning future email and social media marketing campaigns.

Trumpia’s CEO Ken Rhie says it best:

As user adoption of mobile devices continues to grow worldwide, more and more consumers expect to have interactions with businesses that are more immediate, personalized and engaging.
