Here are some of the study’s many intriguing findings:

• Compared to the 59% of feature-phone owners who send or receive text messages, an overwhelming 92% of smartphone users do so.
• Only 10% of feature-phone users check their email on the go, while 76% of smartphone owners do.
• Picture and video messaging continues to grow, with video traffic up 36.9% from last year.

These stats echo a similar survey by Experian which shows that smartphone owners text a lot, especially younger users. Among those aged 18 to 24, 85% send and receive text messages at an average of 3,852 total messages per month!
