Unlike traditional email subscriptions, mobile keyword subscriptions are controlled by the end users. People can subscribe and unsubscribe on an opt-in basis. This level of control and the new emerging mobile culture have brought keyword marketing to impact levels far exceeding direct mail, email marketing, and other traditional marketing channels, resulting in as much as 90% + read rate and 25%+ response rate.

While other businesses are wrapping up for the day, here we are ending the work week on a strong note! For all those that are new to mobile marketing, there's numerous reasons as to why mobile is much more effective in comparison to email marketing and print marketing. The most startling being that SMS text messages have a 90% or higher read rate, which towers over the average read rate of email which now averages roughly 20%.

Quite the discrepancy no? Hence mobile marketing is and will continue to be a major tool for marketers.
