Work smarter, not harder. Ironically, this is a phrase that we throw around to each other all the time, yet we ourselves have a difficult time following. So many companies are working endless hours accomplishing goals and tasks that can be minimized if you have the proper strategies in place. One of the issues that so many marketing teams come across is the issue of increasing user engagement - and this is across so many different metrics including lead scoring, open and read rates, and more. 

 

Using SMS texting is supposed to make your marketing efforts more effective while being as efficient as possible. Learn how you can maximize engagement by following these short and easy to remember guidelines and principles when you are building out your marketing campaigns. 

 

  • Prioritize Existing and Dedicated Customers

Ironically, so many people tend to ignore the dedicated customers that they already have, oftentimes because they are so obsessed with gaining as many new subscribers as possible. This strategy, while it can work sometimes, is often counterproductive. You should be focusing primarily on people who you KNOW will want to engage with your product or service!   • Promote New Deals and Offers

This is a must, especially if you are part of the retail industry. Who doesn’t want to hear about a sale or discount that is going on, especially if they want to buy your product already! One of the best ways to increase hype and momentum is to also offer exclusive deals to your dedicated and loyal customers. There is nothing more enticing than a product or discount that only some can get - you are guaranteeing that your customers feel both cared for and special. 

 

  • Avoid Spam

Message frequency is one of the most important strategies you need to pay attention to. You should look at deciding on how many messages a week you want to send, at what times, and how frequently. Sending too many messages can be seen as Spam messages, while sending too little may lose the attention of your customers. Make sure that you are sending at least 2-3 messages a week, and try to send them during work hours, ensuring that people will read it!
