Landlines still provide so many different benefits compared to cell phones. Learn more in this blog!
By far, out of all of our features that we offer here at Trumpia, Landline Texting is definitely the most underutilized, and least understood feature that we offer. In simplest terms, Landline Texting is a feature that allows you and your company to text using your 10 digit landline number.
Why do people still use Landline Texting? It’s because contrary to popular belief, Landlines still provide so many different benefits compared to cell phones. They allow companies to do the following with Trumpia:
- Have one central phone number where anyone can use to contact a company, rather than requiring so many different numbers to memorize. You can also set up extensions and broadcast that extension through an automated message.
- Eliminate the need for a separate short or long code to enable texting. While so many new companies have to request for a new long or short code, you can use your pre-existing landline number, minimizing any confusion for your customers later.
- Cater to multiple people at once. If you have worked for a major corporation or business for a long time, you know that one of the most daunting tasks is having to answer so many phone calls. One major downside to voice conversations is that you can only tend to one person at a time. However, with texting, you are able to manage so many different conversations, allowing you to focus on people who need more help. We recommend reading about all of our automation features including the ability to pre schedule messages in order to save you and your company further time.
- Increase customer satisfaction. Customers will love the fact that instead of being put on hold, they can send you a message instead. Trumpia stores all of the messages you receive in your account under one central inbox, allowing you to also be able to check and respond to missed messages.
How do you get started?
With Trumpia, we make the process even easier for you. If you already have an existing landline number, all you need to do is register your phone number with us and you are all set to start using that phone number. If you do not have an existing phone number, you can only get a landline number from separate service providers.
Like any feature, we want to stress that landline texting is not perfect, and it is going to vary depending on your needs. Currently, most wireless carriers are not equipped to send a ton of messages through landline texting. Landline texting therefore is more suitable if you are trying to do a smaller, or more personal approach.
Luckily, we offer so many different alternatives, such as short or long code options that allow you to send mass text messages quickly. If you have any more questions, we also recommend consulting our dedicated support team, including our Account managers, who can answer any questions you may have.
