Trumpia is a continuously innovating company, always striving to provide our users with the most technologically advanced software and service possible. In this vein, we wanted to cover a much talked about aspect of our offering: professional onboarding. Our onboarding team has spent the last 10 years perfecting our consultation process, making it one of selling points of our service.
Before we cover our amazing professional onboarding team does, we first want to cover the free resources to help get you started with our powerful system, along with a few things you should know before you start sending messages.
We know that self-guided onboarding isn’t for everyone, especially when your time is limited. If you want help on how to strategize and implement campaigns, or want to be walked-through all of our features, our specialists will help you quickly learn and implement our system to get the best ROI right out of the box.
Our Onboarding has two main sessions: strategy and implementation.
During our strategy session, our Customer Success Managers will talk to you about what results you are looking for, and then help you strategize. This also includes:
- Communication strategy brainstorming
- Auto-Campaign consulting
- Insight on what has worked for other users
- Compliance regulation guidance
- Keyword creation do’s & don’ts
After our consultants help you strategize how our system can help your organization, we have an implementation session where our Customer Success Managers help you set up your campaigns and walk you through using our system. This includes:
- Assistance with campaign creation including Auto-Campaigns
- Feature walkthrough
Here’s an example of how our professional onboarding has helped a current Trumpia customer grow:
The University of Wisconsin Higher Education Location Program (UW HELP) is the information hub of the UW System and all 26 of their campuses. The program helps students of all ages and backgrounds find a fit among the University of Wisconsin campuses.
Email wasn't getting UW HELP the results they wanted when it came to engaging with students. As a result, UW HELP decided they needed to move away from email, and start sending messages via the channel their students actually use: SMS texting.
UW needed a better way to reach their students, quickly. With Trumpia’s Smart Targeting they were able to save time and more efficiently engage their students because they could target their messages. This led to higher engagement rates and fewer opt-outs. In the end, UW HELP’s outreach program was a resounding success, with over 22,500 students opting in to receive these updates!
One of the values of our professional onboarding is we listen to your use case and helps strategize growth ideas. We continue to work with our clients to make sure they get the most out of our solution. Over the 2+ years that UW Help has been using Trumpia, they've gathered some amazing results:
- Students at high schools who were texted alerts were 9% more likely to finish their FAFSA.
- Their subscribers have grown to over 24,000 students every academic year.
- Links that were sent to students had up to a 22% click through rate -- 6 times higher than email.
- Now parents feel students are given the guidance they need to succeed, rather than getting lost in a large campus.
Because of the power of text messaging, but also its ability to be abused, the government and wireless carriers have regulations in place including the TCPA and CTIA that dictate who you can send messages to, when, and what the content can be. Unlike many competitors, Trumpia takes compliance very seriously, and we have an entire team in place to help you stay compliant with your messaging. Here are some frequently asked questions to help get you started:
Who Can You Send Messages To?
Government regulations mandate that all numbers you text must be collected with the contact’s expressed consent. This means you cannot purchase, borrow or randomly collect phone numbers. So, if you have a list of contacts you wish to import into our system, a one-time Import Certification will need to be completed.
When Can You Send Messages?
For most use cases, federal regulations prohibit the sending of marketing related text messages before 8AM and after 9PM. They do make exceptions however for special cases. If you need to send text messages after 9PM, please click the link to create a request ticket.
What Content Can You Send?
The Cellular Telephone Industries Association (CTIA) requires disclosure of content type, messaging frequency, and a “message and data rates may apply” disclaimer. It also prohibits the following types of message content:
- Obscenity / Adult
- Violence / Hate
- Drugs / Alcohol
And as always, if you have any questions on what’s compliant or not, don't hesitate to contact our amazing support team, which is here 7 days a week to help.
In addition, certain message content requires a dedicated short code.
- Financial Offers
- Work From Home
- Credit Card Offers
- Mortgage Refinancing
